Session 1: Special Education Overview and Law
- This session will provide an overview of the Special Education law- Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), identify student academic needs and support services, the FUSD Special Education program Fresno Unified offers, and the importance of building a partnership with the school team.

Session 2: Student Success, IEP, Behavior Support, and 504 Plan
- Learn about an Individualized Education Plan (IEP).
- Understand and plan an IEP meeting.
- Learn about the Special Education Rights of parents and children
- Learn the difference between accommodation and modification
- Understand the School-wide Positive Behavior Support System
- Learn about the 504 Plans
Session 3: Q & A With Regional Instructional Managers
- Provide an opportunity for families to meet with Regional Instructional Managers
Session 4: ATLAS Parent Portal / ATLAS Connect
- Learn how to access ATLAS Parent Portal to create a Family Account
- Become familiar with different features on ATLAS Connect
- Learn how to communicate with teachers through ATLAS Connect
- Provide hands-on opportunities for families
