Session 1: The School Environment, Graduation Requirements, A-G, and Resources

Session 2: School Choice and Attendance
- Understand the meaning of “school choice” and how the process works
- Learn about the transfer process
- Be aware of the importance of attendance
- Review attendance procedures
Session 3: ATLAS Parent Portal/ATLAS Connect
Learn about the class options available for students at the middle school level. Become familiar with resources at the middle school level, learn about A-G requirements, understand ATLAS, and the importance of technology.
Session 4: English Learner Preparing for Student Success
- Understand the importance of the Home Language Survey
- Understand the identification and reclassification processes for English Learner students
- Learn about the ELPAC Assessment
- Learn about parent engagement opportunities for parents of English Learner students
